- Front of mask: surgical mask and fabric mask (1st batch from the government) allows the most air to pass through, while modified and original N95 do not let much air to pass through.
- Side of mask: surgical and fabric mask both let in some air to enter from the side, while both the N95 masks equally block out most of the air.
- Nose of mask: fabric mask (worn lower on nose, natural position) lets in a lot of air, fabric mask (worn higher on nose, not a comfortable position) also lets in a lot of air but less than previously. Surgical mask lets in some air, but less than fabric; and both N95 lets in little air.
